ANNOUNCEMENTS      

 

WELCOME TO THE PULPIT, DR ROBERT A. EMBERGER. Bob was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He is a graduate of Cairn University, Biblical Theological Seminary, and holds a doctorate in pastoral counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Bob has served as the Executive Director of the Whosoever Gospel Mission since 1989.  The Whosoever Gospel Mission introduces homeless men to the loving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, provides for their basic needs, and equips them with the skills and resources they need to achieve productive, independent living.  He has been married for 46 years to Marcia who works full-time as a registered nurse.  Bob and Marcia have four adult children and nine grandchildren.  He enjoys camping, reading, stamp collecting, gardening, traveling and pizza.  

   

IN REMEMBRANCE. We are sad to announce the death of long-time member, Evelyn Glenn who passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024. Friends are welcome to attend her memorial service on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church, which is located at 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Visitation will be from 9am to 10am and the memorial service will begin at 10am. 

   

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. For the months of March and April we will be collecting toys and small stuffed animals. These items will change in May and June. We will continue collecting various items until November. Please drop items in the box located in the Narthex.

  

CELEBRATION WITH WHOSOEVER GOSPEL. Join the Whosoever Gospel Mission in an afternoon of testimonies, singing, and an update on what God is doing in the life of the Mission.  Saturday, April 27th, 2024, at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.  Service begins at 2:00PM with refreshments to follow.  All are welcome and there is no charge.  No need to RSVP. 

 

LUNCHEON. We will be having our potluck luncheon on Sunday, May 5th after our annual meeting. This is a time of fellowship and to share good food with our church family.  If you can attend, please sign up in the back of the Narthex.  We ask you to contribute a new dish that will feed at least 6 people.  We are continuing to build our RPC recipe book and hope to be able to add new recipes to our growing list and distribute the book later this year. 

  

LIFE-LINE SCREENING. The Power of Prevention. Join the 10 million people who have been screened. Catch health problems before they go too far.  RPC is happy to host the annual Life-Line screening event on Saturday, May 4th. Doors will open at 9am. Please pick up a flyer located on the table in the narthex for more detailed information.
